Lewandowski was born on 21 August 1988, in Warsaw, Poland and grew up in Lesnow, Warsaw West County. He made his first steps into football as an unregistered player for local club Partizan Lesno. In 1997, he joined MKS Varsovia Warsaw, where he played for seven years as a teenager.
